Wayne Ottoway•1 year ago A. On-Demand Special Needs Services: Facilitate continuation and expansion of on-demand public transit services. Currently Texoma Area Public Transit (TAPS) provides service Allen 2030 - Chapter 3 - Mobility 10/6/2014 51 51 in Collin County including the City of Allen. TAPS operates demand responsive transportation, or on-demand door-to door service, including paratransit service, from any origin to any destination in the service area. The service is available to all citizens on a fee-for-service basis. Coordination of this service in conjunction with expansion of local and regional transit systems should be evaluated by the city in the future.TAPS does not service Allen or Collin County. There is s pickup service for elderly during weekday business hours provided by Denton County Transit. Other than that, no transportation services are provided.
