2023 Bond Information and Resources

On Nov. 7, 2023, voters approved four propositions to repair streets, enhance police facilities, revitalize downtown and make improvements to Ford Park by issuing General Obligation (GO) bonds totaling $155,000,000 with no projected increase to the City tax rate.

Election results are unofficial until canvassed by City Council on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. Unofficial election results are produced directly from the County Elections Administration’s tabulation system.

City of Allen will publish the final combined Early Voting and Election Day unofficial election results at CityofAllen.org/Elections.

Bond package assessments & final recommendations

During this phase the Bond Steering Committee will review the results of the public input from the past several weeks and form bond propositions for consideration by City Council.

Key dates include:

  • Thursday, June 15, 2023: Bond subcommittees will present reports and recommendations to the 2023 Bond Steering Committee. This meeting is open to the public to attend and observe, but will not have opportunities for additional public comment or input. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at Allen City Hall (305 Century Parkway) and will be shared live on AllenTV.org and YouTube.com/AllenCityTV.   • Tuesday, June 27, 2023: The 2023 Bond Steering Committee will report to Allen City Council on public findings and priorities for a potential bond election during a council workshop. The workshop will be held at Allen City Hall (305 Century Parkway) at 6 p.m. View the steering committee's presentation.
  • Tuesday, July 25, 2023: The 2023 Bond Steering Committee will give its final presentation to Allen City Council on public findings and priorities for a potential bond election during the regular City Council meeting. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at Allen City Hall (305 Century Parkway) and will be broadcast live on AllenTV.org and YouTube.com/AllenCityTV.   • Tuesday, August 8, 2023: Council members will vote on whether to call a bond election for November 7, 2023. This potential call for election will happen during the regular council meeting, held at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at Allen City Hall (305 Century Parkway) and will be broadcast live on AllenTV.org and YouTube.com/AllenCityTV.
