ORIGINAL TEXT

During the August 8 council meeting, City Councilmembers called for a General Obligation Bond Election to take place on Tuesday, November 7.

The bond election will be composed of five separate propositions, each of which were determined based on community planning and feedback at in-person meetings and online in May and June.

The following are the propositions and dollar amounts that Allen voters will see on ballots in November:

  • Proposition A - Street and neighborhood repairs and improvements, $47 million
  • Proposition B - Ford Park improvements, $17 million
  • Proposition C - Public art projects, $1.5 million
  • Proposition D - Downtown revitalization, $8 million
  • Proposition E - Police facilities, $83 million

See the Bond Steering Committee's final recommendation presentation to Allen City Council (June 27, 2023).
