FAQs
Where is the funding coming from? This initiative is part of a multi-year effort supported by the 2023 General Obligation (GO) bond, which allocates funding for these improvements from FY2025 through FY2029. Within the Greengate neighborhood and along Allen Heights from Crestwood Court to Rivercrest Boulevard, the opportunity exists to address several accessibility challenges through a targeted Community Enhancement project. Greengate and Allen Heights were selected as the first areas to address, because evaluations determined they are the most severe locations and the scope of work aligns with the bond funds available.
Pedestrian access to Story Park is being funded by the Allen Community Development Corporation.
