Heritage Park North

Leveraging off the process described on tab one, City staff used a combination of resident feedback and a physical assessment to create a long-term neighborhood improvement plan. Tab #2, “Current Project Updates,” provides updates on those items.

Heritage Parkway North of E. Bethany Dr. to Park Place Dr. - UPDATE

This project is a joint effort between the Engineering and Community Enhancement Departments to address improvements requested through neighborhood meetings and surveys.

Construction is scheduled to begin on July 20, 2026, and finish by mid-September 2026, with the goal of completing the roadwork by mid-August to minimize disruption to the start of the school year.

Work will take place in two phases: crews will complete improvements on the east side of the roadway and parkway, then move to the west side. Both phases will take 3-4 weeks each. Once all street and sidewalk concrete work is complete, sod will be installed to restore the area.

Key Improvements:

1. Roadway repairs between Monroe Ct. and Park Place Dr. to replace deteriorated concrete panels.
2. Expansion of the parkway (grass area) between Monroe Ct. and Park Place Dr. and striping from Monroe Ct. to Bethany Dr. may reduce speeding in the area due to narrowing the roadway (even with a reduction, it will remain wider than a typical residential street). Note: The intersection of Heritage Parkway and Park Place Dr. will remain at full width to accommodate turning vehicles as seen below.
3. Expansion of the parkway allows for wider sidewalks and increased greenspace.
