Home to sports fields, tennis courts, a playground and more, Ford Park is one of the most-used parks in Allen. However, our community has changed a lot since it was first developed in 1986!
Through recent public input opportunities, Allen residents identified Ford Park as a top priority for redevelopment. This master planning process will give Allen Parks & Recreation a better idea of what our community envisions for this space. Knowing community priorities and preferences will help shape eventual budgets and construction plans.

Allen Parks & Recreation presented the plan on Monday, October 21, 2024. Their full presentation is attached below.
Ford Park, built in 1986, has long been a cornerstone of Allen's recreational spaces. As the surrounding community has grown and evolved, so have its needs.
After the bonds funding this project are released (anticipated within two years), Parks leadership will work with architects to draft construction plans that reflect the community's vision.
