Home to sports fields, tennis courts, a playground and more, Ford Park is one of the most-used parks in Allen. However, our community has changed a lot since it was first developed in 1986!
Through recent public input opportunities, Allen residents identified Ford Park as a top priority for redevelopment. This master planning process will give Allen Parks & Recreation a better idea of what our community envisions for this space. Knowing community priorities and preferences will help shape eventual budgets and construction plans.

Phases
Park Redesign
Update April 29: City Council has approved the new design contract for Ford Park, allowing the redesign of the park to move forward. While the final design and plans are yet to be determined, a groundbreaking for the redesign is expected in the Fall of 2026 and grand reopening in late 2027.
